Day-cation

I spent the day at the most beautiful and intricate home in America. The Biltmore house. It was so much fun to get away from the city and get to see the largest house in America. Just because I'm a fun fact kind of girl, here are some fun facts about the estate.

  • There are 34 bedrooms

  • 43 bathrooms

  • 65 fireplaces

  • A ginormous indoor swimming pool

  • Bowling alley

  • The library has 10,000 volumes

  • And the Banquet Hall has a 70-foot ceiling

I have never been to the Biltmore before so I felt like I was catching flys my mouth was open the entire time. I heard it was big but this was just nothing I ever expected.

But I must say my favorite part was the greenhouse🙈 The plants were so exotic and colorful!😍 here are some pics of some of my favorite flowers I saw but lets be real, these pictures don't do it justice.

Chase shot this candid of me as I was just giddy with excitement about being surrounded by all the beautiful plants and flowers!

Designed by architect Richard Morris Hunt, this glass-roofed building nurtures exotic orchids, ferns, and palms. During the Vanderbilts’ time, it provided flowers and plants for Biltmore House. but out of all the rooms in the Greenhouse, the Cacti room was by far my favorite. This room was the definition of "look but don't touch."

Obviously I'm just trying to look as majestic as the stone lions outside of the estate. In honor of Express's HUGE sale with 50% off of everything - I am wearing the Cowl neck sweater in a light grey (currently sold out online- sorry guys! :( ) . And I am wearing their Leather leggings now just $24.95!!

A very simple and cozy outfit for a day out exploring
