This past weekend was packed full of excitement. My brother is apart of the Marching Bulldogs for David W. Butler High School and was marching in the Matthews Alive parade. Matthews Alive is a Labor Day festival they have had every year for 25 years. There are lots of rides, blow up castles, food stands, sponsored booths, and cute local craft areas.
We were up at 8:30 AM to watch the parade at 10 o' clock. And stayed at the festival till about 3 o' clock. Talk about a long day. But we had a great time walking around seeing old friends looking at all the cute booths, and my favorite, eating lots of food. One of my favorite things about Matthews Alive is the Kettle corn. I think Chase and I ate our weight in Kettle corn! He ate ALL of my kettle corn last year so I had to hide it so he wouldn't eat it all this year! Thank goodness for these awesome guys from in the picture above for fueling Chase and I's obsession! y'all go check out there website linked down below!
This outfit was so great for the heat we endured at the festival. This Cold Shouolder Stripe Top from Lucky Brand is such an easy throw on shirt and you can't help that it looks so darn adorable too! My favorite accessory of choice right now is definitely a long beaded necklace because I can wrap it up and make it a choker or make it look like a layered necklace. Plus they look great with almost any outfit and super easy to wear!
As for this Old Favorite Mini Skirt in Galdewater you can bet I am going to wear it all winter long with a chunky sweater and booties! Plus its cream, not white, so no "fashion rules" are broken. Side note- why is that even a rule?! I love wearing all white in the winter it looks so clean cut and classy! But for those of you that are rule sticklers this skirt is perfect for you! Being 100% cotton its very airy for those hot days and relaxes to your body shape making it easier to move in despite the pencil shape.
