*cue golden girls theme song* I think it's safe to say I have spring fever. I'm definitely over this cold front and nasty weather and am ready for the warm weather to hit North Carolina. As we get into February and March the main focus on wardrobing is definitely going to be the top transitioning pieces since the weather is all over the place. from the top to the shoes these are all great pieces you can mix and match depending on the season.
This top is just absolutely darling, the color is the perfect transition color from winter to spring. I love the versatility since the shape is still great for winter whereas the color is beautiful for the springtime. For the "winter" look I usually pair this top with a dark jean and a camel suede jacket to tone down the color a bit.
What better way to pair a flowy top than with some flare jeans! I am so glad flare jeans are back! I remember wearing them in elementary school because my legs were so long I couldn't fit into the cute jeans other girls my age were wearing (#sad). these are definitely taking more of a 70's vibe to them with the high rise and large bell flare combined. instead of the previous 90's trend of low rise flare jeans.
Since its not spring just yet I wanted to stay with a type of bootie to show off the bottom of these jeans. I opted for a peep toe bootie as a good "transitioning" shoe for spring time instead of opting for a full on sandal or espadrille. These booties are from Steve Madden and if y'all know me you know I swear by steve madden shoes because they are so versatile and minimalistic, plus they are incredibly comfortable.
I hope you guys have a beautiful day and be sure to sign up for emails to receive the latest updates on when I post!
